(Classroom Management: ENVoY Program of Non-Verbal Management Techniques)

Awards announced: June 11, 2008.
Eligible Applicants: Eligible applicants under this competition are:

- A State educational agency (SEA) in partnership with one or more local educational agencies (LEAs); or
- An SEA in partnership with one or more LEAs and nonprofit organizations or entities, including an institution of higher education (IHE); and
-
- An LEA or consortium of LEAs; or
- An LEA in partnership with one or more nonprofit organization or entities, including an IHE.
Estimated Available Funds: $ TBD Contingent upon the availability of funds, we may make additional awards in SY 2009-2010, from the rank-ordered list of unfunded applications from this competition.
Estimated Range of Awards: $5,000 – $50,000 of professional development services, including pre-assessment, training, mentoring, and assessment after training and implementation. We anticipate that applicants that request funding are planning to implement peer coaching in at least 30% of classrooms and that at least 30% of classroom teachers demonstrate improvement in classroom learning environment as measured by number of disciplinary referrals, amount of curriculum covered, and increase in student achievement within 3 months.
Estimated Average Size of Awards: $25,000 of services for each 12 month budget period.
Minimum Requirements: Knowledge Arts Foundation will consider only those applications that include a commitment to implementation of skills by administrator and teachers.
