Programs: What we do to help at-risk students achieve academic success

Our Approach:

We train educators in classroom strategies proven to increase student learning. Workshop skills are soon forgotten unless they are reinforced over time and in the setting where they are needed, so our programs include the support that is essential for long-term success:

1. Leadership training and coaching. We offer 8-24 months of coaching for administrators, especially those principals and assistant principals in schools with high percentage of students “at risk” for dropping out before graduation.
2. On-site coaching of teachers. We offer encouraging and skilled technical support for all skills.
3. Development of the district's own trainers and coaches.  We offer in-depth training for local leaders so they can continue programs independently after Knowledge Arts Foundation's involvement is complete.
